In recent WWE lore, it is said that any character that comes into contact with The Fiend is changed in a significant way.

It is a hugely fun aspect to the character and it has rung true in the recent feud between Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego and Braun Strowman.

Last week for instance, we saw Alexa Bliss seem to bond with the monster in some sort of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ relationship after previously being targeted by Wyatt as a means to get to her friend, Strowman.

Strowman last week declared his only intention was to get to The Fiend and that his friendship with Bliss was secondary goal to unleashing the evil within him on Wyatt.

This week we saw Strowman had indeed changed both physically and in terms of attitude.

The champion appeared this week sporting a completely bald head that somehow made the previously scary looking Strowman look even more intimidating.

At the conclusion of the show, Bliss demanded Strowman let go of his rage to the point of slapping The Monster Among Men. This prompted her former ‘Team Little Big’ partner to hoist her up for a gorilla press slam, demanding The Fiend show himself or he would drop her.

When Wyatt did indeed appear in the ring, Strowman was nowhere to be seen at ringside. Instead, he could be seen laughing manically on the big screen.

This attempt to turn the tables on The Fiend has made a previously lukewarm feud into something very interesting going into SummerSlam. The presence of Bliss adds a further dimension and it is impossible to tell how all three of these characters will develop and change coming out of SummerSlam.

The event, which will take place at the Amway Center in Orlando is shaping up to be a sneaky good card.

The event will take place on Sunday August 23rd and will be broadcast on the WWE Network. In addition, we will be hosting a pre-SummerSlam online extravaganza in order to raise funds for the Cauliflower Alley Club on our Facebook and YouTube pages. See this page for details and join us on the night for the free event.
