WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews has been absent from Raw for approximately four weeks. Whilst the real reason for his absence has not been positively confirmed, it was claimed in storyline that he was suffering from an injury that forced him to miss his planned title defence against MVP at the Extreme Rules PPV.
Tonight on Raw, that match will take place as the official champion will defend against the self-proclaimed champ, MVP. The leader of the Hurt Business faction has possession of the newly designed US title that he unveiled in Crews absence a number of weeks ago.
The match between the two has been announced to open Raw this week. No doubt MVP’s Hurt Business associates, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin will also make their presence felt.
