WWE Clash Of Champions Universal Title Challenger To Be Decided On SmackDown

A four-way contest has been signed for SmackDown, pitting recent foes against each other for a shot at the Universal Championship at Clash Of Champions.

Big E vs Matt Riddle vs King Corbin vs Sheamus

With Roman Reigns the new Universal Champion, a title defence at Clash Of Champions is an extremely logical move.

WWE have announced that at the pay-per-view on 27th September, ‘The Big Dog’ will face the winner of a four-way contest on this Friday’s edition of SmackDown.

Two feuds will come together for this contest, as all four competitors from Matt Riddle Vs King Corbin and Big E Vs Sheamus matches will be battling it out for the title opportunity.

With Riddle and Big E both being victorious at Payback, it does at least bring in to question who WWE plans to move in to the championship contender role.

This is assuming WWE are planning on Reigns being villain for the time being, which would rule Sheamus and Corbin out of contention in this match.
