Two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is to tell all in his new book “A Chosen Destiny: My Story.”
In the book McIntyre will talk about his path from Ayr, Scotland, to winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 in Orlando, Florida, as well as the ups and downs of his storied career in between.
From a young age, Drew dreamed of becoming WWE Champion and with his parents’ support, he trained and paid his dues, proving himself to small crowds at the Butlins holiday camp. In 2009 he was announced by Vince McMahon as “The Chosen One,” who would lead WWE into the future and become a World Champion. With his destiny in the palm of his hands, Drew watched it all slip through his fingers.
Through a series of ill-advised choices and family tragedy, Drew’s life and career spiralled. As a surefire champ, he struggled under the pressure of expectations and was fired from the company. Facing a crossroads in his life, the powerful Scotsman set a course to show the world the real Drew McIntyre.
With the support of his wife and the motivation of the memory of his mother, Drew embarked on a mission to recharge, reinvent and revitalise himself to fulfill his destiny.
“A Chosen Destiny: My Story” is available in the U.K. from April 22nd and in the U.S. on May 4th.
