What Is The Future Of The TNT Championship Now AEW Is Moving To TBS?

With AEW moving to TBS at the start of next year, there has been an update on the status of the TNT Championship.

It was a rather surprising day yesterday, when AEW confirmed that they will be moving to TBS at the turn of the year, with AEW Rampage also launching later this year.

With that being said, there have been a number of questions raised about the future of the TNT Championship.

It would seem, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that there are no plans to rename the title for the new channel.

The TNT Title will be staying, so will be named the TNT Title on TBS. Obviously things can change, but I was told yeah, they’re gonna keep the TNT Championship.

Keeping it friendly within the network seems like a logical move, saves a major upheaval and stops any question about whether it should become the TBS Championship or another variant.

Current title holder Miro will make his first defence of the belt against Lance Archer at AEW Double Or Nothing, which you can find all the information about here.
