John Pollock of POST Wrestling has reported on a scary sounding incident at yesterday’s NXT tapings.

In a match with NXT newcomer Ridge Holland, it seems that NXT grand-slam winner Johnny Gargano was dropped directly on his head and neck after a move went badly wrong.

The match, taped for next week’s show, was stopped whilst WWE officials including Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and Shawn Michaels checked on Gargano.

After some time, the match was allowed to continue to its conclusion and the taped nature of the show means producers will be able to edit around the incident, likely with ease.

The match will see the winner advance to the ladder match for the vacant North American title at TakeOver XXX on Saturday August 22nd.

Gargano was said to have apologised to all in attendance after the incident and was checked out again after the match.
