On this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, David Finlay and Juice Robinson relinquished their tag team championship – but not to the number one contenders.

The NJPW stars defended their titles on the show against Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. The challengers secured that spot by winning a four-way number one contenders match at Under Siege last weekend.

The champions successfully navigated this match in the main event of the evening but were afterwards were confronted by Violent By Design.

VBD’s Rhino and Joe Doering announced they were cashing in the Call Your Shot trophy Rhyno won in a battle royal at Bound For Glory 2020.

In a nice touch, FinJuice showed confusion about this developments. As Japanese based stars, they had no idea this trophy even existed.

Doering and Rhyno made short work of the champions and had their hands raised. The win was not a huge shock as Robinson and Finlay are due to head back to Japan to fulfil NJPW commitments.
