A WWE superstar we haven’t seen in action since the Superstar Spectacle earlier this year made a return to the ring at last night’s Main Event tapings.
Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal took on Jeff Hardy on the tapings.
Mahal suffered a serious injury in May 2020, and his first match back was at the Superstar Spectacle which was filmed in late January.
For his match with Hardy on Main Event, he was also accompanied to the ring by Indus Sher, which likely signifies what we’ll be seeing a lot on TV going forward.
Mahal gained some cult popularity during and around his title run, and this match on Main Event could be a way of easing him back in rather than appearing straight away in a prominent position on a “main” show.
