One of the most well known wrestlers on the British scene, Sha Samuels, made his NXT UK debut this week in unusual but impressive fashion.
‘The East End Butcher’ faced off with Joe Coffey in the opening match of this week’s episode taped in his old stomping grounds at the BT Sport studios in East London.
He was introduced on camera as Ed Harvey, however midway through the match he took to the microphone to declare that having been wrestling 18 years, he didn’t come to WWE to be called Ed Harvey. He was Sha Samuels.
Despite losing the bout, Samuels looked impressive and in great physical condition. He also surely set the WWE record for quickest name change after an in-ring debut?
