Ric Flair On Four Horsemen Return: ‘I’d Be For It’

It seems that the signs of a new Four Horsemen in AEW have not gone unnoticed by ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, and he would approve of the stable’s revival.

There have been plenty of hints in recent week that AEW could revive a version of the infamous Four Horsemen.

Cody and FTR have all flashed the hand gesture, whilst original Horseman is in the corner of the AEW TNT Champion.

It would now seem that Ric Flair has stayed abreast of what has been going on during Dynamite, and would approve of a resurrection of the faction.

In a recent interview with Wrestling Inc, Flair was candid on his appreciation of what a new version could do, whilst acknowledging it would always go back to its roots.

I’d be for it. No matter who does it or how it’s done, it’s attributed to us. To this day, I’ll see Arn and we’ll do a signing now and then and the whole joint walks around with their four fingers up, to this day. If we’re together for a signing, and even if we’re on different sides of the world, the people that come back and forth to get a signature or picture, they’re all doing the same thing.

Despite having this much respect for what AEW may do, Flair made it clear that his loyalty lies with his daughter, and that with Charlotte there before her injury “I gotta stay true to the brand”.

The Nature Boy went on to comment about what the original stable could have done with the marketing environment this century has. But I tell him, just imagine if we had been in the era of marketing? Or if we had been working with WWE who knew and knows how to market? The marketing, in some cases, can make you bigger and better than you are. I don’t like to see that but it does exist. But I’m happy for all the money that everybody makes because they earn it. They’re earning it right now despite the health issues. So, I’m happy to see them all making money for the Four Horsemen or whatever.
