Report: WWE Plan To Have Major A-Lister ‘Host’ SummerSlam

WWE are reportedly in talks with one of the biggest music stars on the planet about being part of their SummerSlam event on Saturday August 21st.

WWE SummerSlam 2021

With WWE finally confirming that SummerSlam 2021 will take place on Saturday August 21st, speculation is now mounting that they want to make as much noise as possible with the show, and reports from Fightful Select state that they are in talks to have hip hop superstar Cardi B host the event.

Whilst no venue has been confirmed, speculation has mounted that WWE want to secure an NFL stadium for the location of their first full capacity ‘Big Four’ PPV since Royal Rumble 2020. Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium is the apparent front runner with stadiums in Nashville and Miami also mentioned.

For some reason, the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars does not seem to be in the running.

Cardi B is a known wrestling fan and earlier this year she participated in some back and forth Twitter trash talk with a number of stars, primarily Lacey Evans which got plenty of attention and led to speculation she would work with WWE in the future.

Whilst Fightful could not confirm whether the deal between the rapper and WWE had been finalised, it certainly fits with the idea that WWE want to make SummerSlam a WrestleMania level spectacle.
