Report: Time Cut For NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night One Main Event

It would seem that Raquel Gonzalez and Io Shirai had to make some last-minute changes to their NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver match.

It’s the first time an NXT TakeOver has run over two nights, and the first night had far more restrictions than the second will.

It would appear now that the main event for the NXT Women’s Championship between Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez had its time cut.

According to a report from Fightful Select the match, which ended up going 16 minutes, had to reduce its time due to another match earlier in the card overrunning.

Whilst night two is only airing on Peacock and the WWE Network meaning they can run to their own time, the fact night one was also shown simultaneously on USA Network meant there was little wiggle room for the finish time.

It certainly didn’t feel like they rushed, making Raquel Gonzalez’ crowning moment feel as special as it needed to.
