Report: “Not Anything Planned Or Expected” For Brock Lesnar To Appear At WWE SummerSlam

Whilst many have been hoping for a match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar at this year’s SummerSlam, the latest report claims that WWE has no deal in place with ‘The Beast Incarnate’ at this stage.

Bobby Lashley & Brock Lesnar

Many have been speculating that ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar could return at WWE SummerSlam to face Bobby Lashley.

This was further enforced when WWE accidentally put Lesnar’s name graphic on the screen during a recent edition of Bayley’s ‘Ding Dong Hello’.

It would seem at this stage, however, that a return for one of the main Paul Heyman guys is off the table, for this summer at least.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, there was no deal in place as of a few days ago, and there is not one expected either.

While there are a lot of rumours regarding the return of Lesnar, as of 15th June there was no deal for him to return imminently. Of course it always could happen especially with the Saudi show late in the year and next year’s Mania. SummerSlam would also make sense but right now that’s still not anything agreed to nor expected at this point

It would seem WWE are looking to treat SummerSlam like a WrestleMania, hosting it in a stadium for the first time since 1992 and with capacities lifting all the time in the States.

However, it would seem that a Lashley win over Drew McIntyre at Hell In A Cell leading to a match with ‘The Beast Incarnate’ at the hottest show of the summer is highly unlikely.
