It sounds like the backstage area in the WWE ThunderDome was busy ahead of SmackDown last night. As well as Becky Lynch being in attendance, two NXT stars who are regularly touted for main roster call ups were not only backstage but they also took part in tryout matches.

According to PWInsider, NXT Champion Karrion Kross (With Scarlett in his corner) and North American Champion Bronson Reed squared off with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode respectively.

According to the report, both bouts were taped for evaluation and whilst there is no immediate plan to introduce them to the roster, WWE has already begun evaluating which talent to bring to the main roster in the draft that is scheduled to take place in September.

It was also said that Kross and Scarlett could be brought back next week to show their promo abilities first hand.
