NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa made her AEW debut on last night’s edition of Dynamite and wasted no time in making a big All Out challenge.

After long hinting at her desire to appear for AEW on social media, NWA Women’s champion Thunder Rosa made her Dynamite debut this past Saturday.

Her appearance in a backstage segment was to issue a challenge to face AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida at the All Out PPV on Saturday 5th September.

Whilst unconfirmed yet, it goes without saying that this match is expected to happen and will represent the first time a prominent champion from outside of AEW has challenged one of their titleholders.

The NWA, like most of the wrestling world has been on hiatus since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. That break has seen the departure of Dave Lagana as the president of the company but it has recently been reported that plans are underway for tapings of a new show to air weekly on FITE.

Rosa’s status with the NWA is unknown. However, her appearance on Dynamite saw her acknowledged as the champion of the organisation. She also carried her championship belt so it does suggest she remains part of that organisation.
