NJPW Announce Multiple New Matches For Wrestle Kingdom Double Header

The card for January’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom spectacular is taking shape, with six new matches added.

The card for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom at the start of January has significantly expanded.

The two day event takes place on 4th and 5th January, and six matches were added yesterday across the spectacular.

On the first night, Hiromu Takahashi faces El Phantasmo, with the winner facing Taiji Ishimori for the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship.

Also added are Great O’Khan vs Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Zack Sabre Jr and Taichi defending the IWGP Tag Championships against Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa.

Also added to night two are Jeff Cobb vs Shingo Takagi for the NEVER Openweight Championship, and EVIL vs SANADA.

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15 takes place at The Tokyo Dome on 4th and 5th January 2021, and will be available to stream on New Japan World. The current card stands as:

  • IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship – Tetsuya Naito vs Kota Ibushi
  • IWGP Tag Team Championships – Zack Sabre Jr and Taichi vs Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa
  • Kazuchika Okada vs Will Ospreay
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Great O’Khan
  • Title Eliminator – Hiromu Takahashi vs El Phantasmo

Night Two: 5th January 2021

  • IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship – Tetsuya Naito or Kota Ibushi vs Jay White
  • IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship: Taiji Ishimori vs Hiromu Takahashi or El Phantasmo
  • Shingo Takagai vs Jeff Cobb
