Last night’s episode of NXT put the finishing touches to next week’s NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver with two new matches being announced and the participants in a third being announced.
New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will defend their newly won titles against the female half of The Way, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. That match will take place on night two of TakeOver.
The other two matches came as a result of the battle royal to determine the six competitors for the Gauntlet Eliminator match on night one. The match will be contested by, in order of entrance, Leon Ruff, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes, Dexter Lumis and LA Knight.
The winner of that match will challenge Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Championship on night two.
The final match, also confirmed for night one, will see Pete Dunne clash with KUSHIDA. Issues between the two spilled over in the battle royal as they were both eliminated early on. Before the match had even concluded, NXT General Manager William Regal had confirmed this match for TakeOver.
NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver will take place over two nights on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th April. For full details on the card, how to watch and more, check out our handy explainer guide.
