Impact Wrestling are leaning heavily on the “our world changes again” line for Slammiversary, and the latest match added fits that bill well.
On last night’s edition of Impact, Matt Cardona and Brian Myers once again came face to face, when Cardona accompanied Jake Something to the ring.
Myers was forced to acknowledge Something as a professional following his loss last week, and as you’d expect things became heated.
Cardona got the upper hand, however was blindsided by Tenille Dashwood with a low blow.
Naturally, Cardona was then gunning for Myers and Dashwood, and Impact Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore granted his wish with a mixed tag match at Slammiversary.
An interesting comment from Cardona sharing the video on Twitter was that it was “perfect timing”.
This could easily imply that the mystery partner will be one of the released WWE stars whose 90-day no compete clause has just expired, or someone’s whose clause has been mutually cancelled.
It means there will be two surprise females on the show, with Deonna Purrazzo defending the Knockouts Championship, and we have already speculated about who that may be in a top five list.
Impact Wrestling Slammiversary takes place this Saturday, 17th July and you can find all the details here.
