In an extremely short statement on their own website today, Impact Wrestling announced that Michael Elgin will no longer be working with the promotion.
The statement in full reads:
IMPACT Wrestling has announced that Michael Elgin will not be appearing in any further IMPACT Wrestling programming.
Elgin was suspended last week in the aftermath of numerous allegations of a sexual nature as part of the #SpeakingOut movement.
Elgin was announced to have been part of a five-way match for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at next month’s Slammiversary. Obviously that will not now be the case. Another competitor in that match, Tessa Blanchard was also due to be part of that match until her release earlier in the week.
Impact Wrestling are yet to announce their amended plans for the main event of the PPV.
