This week’s AEW Dynamite closed with the announcement that ‘The Cleaner’ will have to put his title on the line before the end of 2020.

Kenny Omega was able to pick up the victory in his no-holds-barred match against Joey Janela last night on AEW Dynamite.

This was his first match since winning the AEW Championship two weeks ago.

The story here came after the match, when Death Triangle made their way to ringside.

Pac grabbed the mic and told everyone he’d spoken to Tony Khan, who had signed ‘The Cleaner’ to defend his AEW Championship against Rey Fenix.

The match will take place on the last Dynamite of the year, which takes place on Wednesday 30th December.

Although Fenix isn’t placed in the AEW rankings, he was undefeated in the Title Eliminator tournament which Omega ended up winning.

Fenix was forced to withdraw from the tournament after defeating Penta, who took his place in a loss to eventual winner Omega.
