Karrion Kross walked out of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night two as the two-time NXT Champion.
Kross defeated Finn Balor after an intense 17-minute encounter after two running forearms to the back of the Irishman’s head.
The win represents Kross’ second TakeOver title win. He initially won the title at NXT TakeOver XXX in August with a victory over Keith Lee. During the course of that match, he suffered a shoulder injury that led to an extended injury hiatus and a need to forfeit the title. Subsequently, Balor won the vacant title and his title run since then has been met with acclaim from fans and media alike with signature wins over Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunne.
The match took place as the semi-main event of a thrilling TakeOver night two. The show was capped by a titanic unsanctioned match between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly that saw O’Reilly secure victory after a vicious 40 minute encounter that left Cole on a stretcher to end the show.
