A new member has joined Will Ospreay’s Empire in NJPW, but the results in the first couple of days are not as would be expected.

Will Ospreay and Bea Priestley have established The Empire in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and were quick to add ‘The Dominator’ Great O’Khan to their ranks.

For this year’s World Tag League, O’Khan was entered in to the tournament with a mystery partner, who would become the latest member of The Empire.

On the first night of the tournament, ‘The Dominator’ was joined by ‘The Eliminator’ Jeff Cobb.

The combination went on to pick up the win against Hiroshi Tanahashi and Toa Henare in under three minutes, seemingly setting the tone for their position in the tournament.

However, any theories around this were quashed on night two when The Empire were defeated by Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.

Although it is only the early stages of the tournament, there are currently two teams with a perfect record – EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi, and Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.
