Impact Wrestling are set to return to PPV with Rebellion on April 25th with a show to be headlined by a titanic champion vs. champion encounter as Impact World Champion Rich Swann meets AEW World Champion Kenny Omega with both belts on the line.
Fittingly, a match of such magnitude will now be called by one of the most celebrated play by play commentators in all of combat sports as Mauro Ranallo will be joining the company for the event.
The former WWE and NXT announcer is also a hugely respected boxing and MMA announcer, working extensively with Showtime Boxing and Bellator MMA. He left WWE in August 2020 after three years working as the lead announcer for NXT.
His passionate and catchphrase laden style split opinion with amongst WWE fans. Many believe his knowledgeable, emotional style was a wonderful complement to the style, while others lament his forced use of pop-culture references and shouty style.
Whatever side of the fence you sit on, it cannot be denied that Ranallo will be an asset to Impact for the Rebellion PPV.
