IMPACT Wrestling clearly want to be bang on trend as they have become the latest mainstream promotion to announce a two week long event.

They have announced Emergence which will air on AXS TV on August 18th and 25th.

So far only one match has been officially announce which will be Deonna Purrazzo vs Jordynne Grace in a rematch for the Knockouts Championship. This will take place on night two of the the event.

Two week TV specials seems to be a format that will become more common in the coming months. Just last month, both WWE and AEW held their own two part TV specials when they ran NXT Great American Bash and AEW Fyter Fest respectively in their regular weekly TV timeslots.

Both events were immensely well received by fans. Let’s hope that Emergence follows suit.
