On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, The Inner Circle team of Chris Jericho and MJF conducted an in-ring press conference ahead of their Tag Team Championship match against The Young Bucks at the Revolution PPV on Sunday.

Never one to miss an opportunity to give their fans a little Easter egg, AEW went with a pair of well known names as the present journalists rather than relying on faceless extras.

The first question came from none other than the ‘Podfather’ of wrestling, Conrad Thompson. After being referred to as ‘Turkey Tits’ by MJF, he went on to ask the pair about their attack on Nick and Matt Jackson’s father last week.

After his question was dismissed by a self-serving answer, the next question was asked by one Eric Bischoff, who hilariously introduced himself as ‘Eric Bischoff of the 83 Weeks podcast’ as if that were the highest accolade on his CV.

In trademark style, Bischoff antagonised Jericho and MJF by asking where the decision to enrage the champions by attacking their father ranked on his list of all time poor decisions.

After an angry Jericho told Easy E to shut his mouth, the Bucks themselves hit the ring and brought the press conference to a premature end.

Interestingly, with Bischoff in the house alongside AEW regulars Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross and Arn Anderson, almost all of Thompson’s podcast crew were on the show. Only two names were needed to complete the set.

Whilst only a fool would bet on Bruce Prichard appearing on Dynamite any time soon, maybe Kurt Angle could be the ‘Hall Of Fame worthy’ name that Paul Wight promised would appear on the PPV this weekend.
