Upon leaving WWE in April 2019, former WWE and UFC Women’s Champion cited her desire to start a family as her reason for walking away from the squared circle.

Now Rousey has taken to her YouTube channel to announce that her and husband Travis Browne are expecting their first child in September.

After starting the video by saying ‘How should I say this…POW! Four months pregnant’ Rousey shared the couple’s big news with the world.

After being almost single-handedly responsible for the inclusion of women’s divisions in UFC, Rousey made her WWE debut as a surprise following the first ever women’s Royal Rumble in January 2018. She went on to make her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 35 the following April when she tagged with Kurt Angle to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a match that wound up as the highlight of that ‘Mania.

During her 12 month in-ring run with the company, Rousey blazed a trail for the women’s revolution in WWE. She quickly won the Raw women’s title and carried the belt undefeated to WrestleMania the following year. Along the way she headlined the first ever all-women WWE PPV, Evolution, against Nikki Bella and faced Charlotte Flair at the Survivor Series in a champion vs. champion match.

At ‘Mania itself, Rousey faced Flair and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match for both the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles. The match made wrestling history as the first ever female bout to headline WrestleMania. After the bout, won by Lynch, Rousey walked away for an open ended hiatus.

Congratulations go out to the couple from Hooked On Wrestling on their happy news.
