An overzealous fan approached AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, as he made his usual entrance through the crowd for his match against MJF, at All Out last night.

The AEW video feed and footage taken by fan in the arena show the man approach Moxley as soon as the champion entered the arena.

AEW security, who were well prepared for the situation, grabbed and restrained the man before he got to Moxley, who was able to continue his walk to the ring.

Since allowing fans back into live events AEW have worked to ensure social distancing is adhered to. This was clearly a breach. Afterwards Moxley commented on the situation at the All Out media scrum:

“I’m glad they got that on camera. They said they cut away but I was like, “Man, you should put that on camera so people know what happens when you try to do something like that. We’re enduring a pandemic. I don’t want your f***ing gnarly a** near me.”

Moxley also gave credit to AEW security:

“I don’t think he was trying to attack me. I think he was trying to celebrate with me. ‘Yeah, rock ‘n’ roll, Moxley.’ Yeah, shout out to Charlie, my man. He also spray painted my jacket tonight. He’s the guy who does just about everything backstage here and he f***ing speared that m**********r. That was awesome. It startled me for a second, I was like, ‘Oh, what can you do? It’s live TV.’ That’s happened to me several times.”

Moxley went on to retain his AEW World Championship  by defeating MJF and is now on a collision course with Lance Archer, who won the Casino Battle Royal earlier on in the night.
