Impact Wrestling Rebellion on 24th April will be headlined by a title for title match, with both the Impact and AEW World Championships on the line.
We always knew Kenny Omega would be on one side of the match, especially after his recent appearances in Impact and main eventing Hard To Kill and pinning Rich Swann.
The question of who he would face was answered last night at Sacrifice, when Rich Swann defeated Moose to both retain the Impact World Championship, and win the TNA World Championship.
It was always expected that Swann would be the one to face Omega, and although either he or Omega could lose their titles before 24th April it is highly unlikely.
There is also a strong possibility if talk is to be believed that it is ‘The Cleaner’ who will leave Rebellion with all the belts.
Talk is Omega will be going down the route of being the belt collector – which would fit with potentially carrying all three of the belts mentioned around at once.
This would not be the first time we’d have seen a belt collector on Impact television, as Austin Aries went down that route in the past with titles from around the world.
Either way, both Impact and AEW have done a good job of setting up some intrigue ahead of Rebellion.
