They don’t call Conrad Thompson ‘The Podfather’ for nothing. His stable of weekly podcasts with notable names from wrestling’s pasts is unquestionably wrestling’s foremost audio network. It was announced this week that his stable will grow from next month with the launch of a weekly show with WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett.
The new podcast, titled ‘My World With Jeff Jarrett’ will drop every Tuesday starting May 4th. The show will cover all aspects of Jarrett’s storied career from his early days breaking in as a second generation star in Memphis, through to his key part in the ‘Monday Night Wars’ where he made the jump between WWE and WCW numerous times in controversial circumstances, through to his days as the founder of TNA Wrestling and eventual induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
There is no question that Jarrett has an almost unparallel well of wrestling experiences to draw on, which will likely make this podcast a must listen. Jarrett himself is a skilled storyteller, as evidenced when he came to the UK in 2018 to take part in Hooked On Wrestling’s ‘Aint He Great’ spoken word tour.
Conrad Thompson began his current podcast empire in 2016 when he launched the ‘Something To Wrestle’ podcast with Bruce Prichard. Since then, Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff, Jim Ross, Arn Anderson and Kurt Angle have added weekly shows to his rotation.
