Plenty of stars are starting to rule themselves out of being the mystery appearance at AEW Revolution – and the latest (and probably most talked about) of these is CM Punk.

Following Paul Wight’s announcement last night, Tony Khan has confirmed that it is a “huge, huge star” that will be debuted at AEW Revolution.

Many names have been thrown about – not least of these being CM Punk.

However, Punk has confirmed it won’t be him, and in a Tweet which has now been deleted gave his reason why.

Q&A time! I’ll answer some questions if you got em. Use the hashtag #askpunk and I’ll give you a free answer to start: it’s not me, the @NHLBlackhawks are playing Sunday.

Whilst we can be sure that if the deal was right an NHL game wouldn’t stop Punk appearing, it seems like a good way to rule himself out.

Punk has since Tweeted again simply saying it’s not him.

It seems more and more people are ruling themselves out (or at least covering it) but if it is a star of the calibre Khan is suggesting then the only way to find out will be to tune in Sunday.
