When Tony Khan and Paul Wight promised a ‘Hall of Fame’ worthy talent would be debuting at AEW’s Revolution PPV earlier this month, fans were delighted when Christian Cage was revealed as the star in question.
Since then, Cage has wasted no time in setting his sights on AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega. With AEW not being a promotion (Even in kayfabe) that hands out world title opportunities without merit, it was clear that Cage would need to live up to his new ‘Outwork Everyone’ mantra to get his wish.
The path will start next week on AEW Dynamite when Christian will make his AEW in-ring debut against fellow veteran Frankie Kazarian.
The So-Cal Uncensored member made it very clear that he wants to face the former Captain Charisma in his debut match and we can surely expect a standout bout between two men who are no slouches in the ring.
The match will form part of a stacked looking card for next week’s Dynamite.
Previously confirmed was the Arcade Anarchy bout between Miro & Kip Sabian and Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor.
We also found out this week that Cody Rhodes will face QT Marshall with Arn Anderson as the special referee as well as a trios bout pitting Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers against The Lucha Bros and Laredo Kid.
The card will be rounded out by a tag team match seeing Hikaru Shida and Tay Conti face Nyla Rose and The Bunny.
