Whilst the excitement for many was at boiling point for having fans back in the stadium, Braun Strowman had one thing to concentrate on at WrestleMania.
During his entrance, ‘The Monster Among Men’ had to focus on not falling off the stage due to the amount of smoke that had been pumped in to the Raymond James Stadium.
Speaking with Bleacher Report, Strowman commented that he couldn’t see anything and was concerned about falling off the stage.
I’ll be honest, they blew so much CO2 smoke on the stage when I came out that I couldn’t see anything, so I froze. I was afraid I was going to walk off the stage. We’re talking like a 15-foot drop, so I just stood there. I didn’t know where the ramp was. I didn’t know anything. I could hear the people rumbling a little bit because they knew I was somewhere in that smoke, and as that smoke dissipated, the crowd just came alive, and I’ve got goosebumps right now thinking about it.
Strowman made the most out of his cage match against Shane McMahon, exceeding the expectations of many.
It is a match that the pair had been petitioning for over the last few years.
Shane and I have wanted to do one for quite a few years now. Behind the scenes, we have a very good relationship, and let’s be real: Shane’s a lunatic. That works great with my style because I don’t go out there and think about anything. I just do it. It ended up working out well.
Strowman is now back in the title picture, and will fight for the WWE Championship in a triple-threat match against Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash.
