WWE Studios series ‘The Big Show Show’ has been dropped by Netflix after just one series. A Christmas special is still to air.

The Big Show Show

Netflix series, ‘The Big Show Show’ has been cancelled after only one series on the streaming service, according to a report by Deadline.com.

Premiering in April, the family sitcom starred former WWE Champion The Big Show as a fictional version of himself, struggling to come to terms with retirement and his eldest daughter moving back into the family home.

The show ran for eight episodes with one stand-alone Christmas special still to come.

The reception for the show was lukewarm with reviews generally marking the show as sweet but lacking substance. Audience reaction was similarly muted.

The show was produced by WWE Studios and overseen by showrunners Josh Bycel and Jason Berger.

Whilst the show as a whole will surely not live long in the memory, the single scene of Mick Foley, Rikishi and Mark Henry attempting to sing ‘I Want It That Way’ by The Backstreet Boys will never be forgotten by anyone that sees it!
