Last week on SmackDown, Apollo Crews cemented his recent heel turn with a vicious beat down of WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E.

The viciousness of the attack certainly seemed to indicate that there was some juice behind his renewed push after spinning his wheels practically since his debut on the main roster.

This week he faced Shinsuke Nakamura and debuted a new gimmick that sees him claim to be descended from Nigerian royalty, with his great-grandfather being a ruler of the nation with five wives.

Along with his new found attitude, he debuted new ring gear based on the white and green colours of the Nigerian flag and even spoke to Big E over the microphone in a Nigerian accent.

Crews went on to score a quick win over Nakamura and the smart money is on a championship match against Big E at WWE Fastlane.
