The card for AEW Fyter Fest seems close to finalised with 11 matches confirmed in total for the event which will be filmed on Wednesday July 1st and broadcast across that date and July 8th.

Several matches were announced on last night’s AEW Dynamite including an eight man tag team match featuring Butcher & Blade teaming with the Lucha Brothers to face the ‘dream team’ of The Young Bucks and FTR.

However, the status of the AEW World Title match must be considered up in the air. Double Or Nothing Casino Ladder Match winner Brian Cage is due to challenge Jon Moxley for the latter’s championship.

However, it was announced yesterday that Moxley’s wife, Renee Young, has tested positive for COVID-19. Moxley missed yesterday’s Dynamite as a result of being in isolation and with the Fyter Fest tapings now only six days away, it remains to be seen whether he can safely be included in the group. It does feel unlikely.

Fyter Fest will air on TNT in the usual Dynamite timeslot in the US and on FITE in the UK and around the world.

The current card for Fyter Fest is as follows:

Wednesday July 1st

  • TNT Championship Match: Cody vs. Jake Hager

  • AEW Tag Team Championship Match: Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. Best Friends
