AEW have confirmed that Serena Deeb will defend her NWA World Women’s Championship against Riho this Sunday. The match is advertised for the Buy In, prior to the Double Or Nothing Pay-Per-View.
Serena Deeb has held the title since beating Thunder Rosa in October last year. She has previously defended her championship on AEW television, most recently on the May 19th edition of Dynamite, defeating Red Velvet by submission.
Riho, the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion, has competed only four times this year for the promotion. She is currently unranked, with a 2-2 record. Nevertheless, Riho holds a pinfall victory over the current NWA World Women’s Champion. The two competitors collided on the February 17th edition of Dynamite, with Riho eliminating Deeb in the first round of the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament.
Double Or Nothing and the Buy In take place on Sunday 30th May from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. As confirmed by Tony Khan, there will be a full-capacity live crowd in attendance.
